![]() I am a believer in Jesus, and I have read the entire Bible. It’s like this church is like a giant sorority or something. I feel like it is a very social church, it is always buzzing with vibrant energy, but they aren’t very warm to newcomers. Also, I get this vibe from them, that “their way is the right way”. I honestly don’t really feel accepted at church, for a place that I supposed to be worshipping Jesus Christ. When I look at someone and try to say hi or something I feel they always have this awkward look at me and just turn away. Everyone I feel is already in some sort of click or something. You really have to go hard and put yourself out there, and even then you might not make a connection. I found it really hard to meet new people here. I came here to experience worship and just to meet new people. I was looking for a new place since I had moved to Dallas. This church was recommended to me by a friend from an old church. I honestly don’t feel the Holy Spirit here at this church. Her coworker, Elizabeth, showed us a soft mat room and let us use the area thankfully, but we were very sad to be treated like this at this church. She said she works at the Watermark church, but I was even more surprised because this kind of cold and shallow person working at a church says we are welcoming everyone(for certain race, excluding minority moms with babies). I went back to ask her by what authority she could kick us out from the open space and if this is the church’s policy that women with babies are not allowed to be there. I was very upset because even though there were other moms with babies in the lobby, she only told us to leave and it appeared we were singled out because of our race. There were no places for the moms to sit or a place for the infants. It was our second visit, so we really didn’t know where she was talking about or where to go, but since we were kicked out by her from an already loud open public space, we went to check the other area. Within 3-5minutes of her crying, Katie approached us and told us to leave because there are many meetings going on at the lobby and to go to the kids zone. As soon as we got there, my daughter started getting fussy, so I was trying to calm her down. I went there to meet my friend with my twin babies. I thought the church welcomes everyone and is a place to show what God’s love is. I had a very unpleasant experience at this church lobby by a cold and shallow worker whose name is “Katie”.
